Self-Pay Patients

If you don’t have health insurance, you don’t have to wait for treatment.

Aspen Healthcare hospitals and clinics offer fast access to treatment for a range of conditions. This includes private GP services, cosmetic surgery, hip and knee surgery, spinal surgery, general surgery and even cancer care. We welcome patients choosing to pay for their own treatments, who might not have private medical insurance, or wish to avoid long waiting lists elsewhere. Most of the treatments and other services we offer have little or no waiting time, making it more convenient for you. We provide the highest standards of consultant-led care - nothing less than you’d expect - so you can be back to normal and get on with life as quickly as possible.

As a self-pay patient you will have access to leading physicians and surgeons to help you every step of the way. We have over 650 expert consultants ready to ensure you receive the most appropriate care and advice. We’ll aim to get you an appointment with the right consultant within 48 hours of your enquiry. Some consultants will require a GP referral, but we can assist with this too via our private GP services on site if you don’t wish to visit your NHS GP. If in doubt on whether you require a referral letter, do give the hospital of your choice a ring and they will be more than happy to explain the process.

For most patients, the cost of your treatment can be ‘packaged’* and fixed, giving you peace of mind and transparency of cost. Example package rates can be seen by visiting the hospital of your choice using the links below. These costs are subject to regular review to ensure cost-effective care. We accept all major credit and debit cards, cash and cheques (must be cleared prior to admission).

Why choose to pay for your care?

  • If you want to choose consultant-led personalised care

  • If you do not want to wait for a diagnosis or treatment

  • If you want to choose an appointment time convenient for you

  • For procedures not always available on the NHS, such as varicose veins, IVF, routine breast screening in the under 50 year old etc.
